The warrior pack program was created in hopes that INDY could provide a little extra love and support to cancer warriors entering the battlefield. The original cancer warrior, Kyle Strand always had a bag of his favorite things to take with him to treatment and appointments. That gave us the idea of spreading the love and providing warrior packs for Minnesota's Cancer Warriors to area hospitals/cancer centers.
As a non profit funds are limited, so we looked for alternative options to see this program succeed. We applied for a grant in 2019 through Randy Shaver Cancer Research and Community Fund. We were successful in securing this grant and have every year since. To date we have packed and distributed over 4000 backpacks thanks to various partners and our yearly partnership with Randy Shaver Cancer Research and Community Fund.
This would not be possible without the help of our donors and grants we have received. Thank you to Randy Shaver Cancer Research and Community Fund, Minnwest Bank and Benton Telecommunications Foundation (a local foundation).

Journal, pen, warrior socks, water bottle, chapstick and a personal note, letting them know they are not alone!
Want to help with the warrior pack program?
We need YOU! INDY would love to sustain and grow this program across MN. It is a great opportunity for organizations to get involved and fundraise for a specific project that helps cancer warriors. Do you have a local cancer center, hospital or other facility that you would like to help? The contents of the packs can be modified to fit the needs and ages of those you are supporting. We have the tools and marketing to help you fundraise for your community of cancer warriors.
