INDY PROUDLY PRESENTS
A SPECIAL NOTE FROM CADE'S MOTHER, RENEE:
Cade has been such a trooper through all of this, it's really refreshing.
After he was all done with chemo, he had relapsed and was readmitted into the hospital. When he got out we needed to visit the Saint Cloud Clinic for one last infusion of fluids. Afterwards, he requested to get Buffalo Wild Wings. I smiled and reminded him that we typically don't eat meat on Fridays during Lent. Ultimately I decided I would let it slide this one time. I felt he had sacrificed enough this year.
He looked at me and said, "You've sacrificed a lot too, Mom. I've been through worse things".
Now I really smiled and tried not to laugh.
"Like what, might I ask?"
"Well.....like.....running a cross country race isn't that easy!"
I couldn't wait to tell his coach, Fred Rupp, that one! But what he said next astounded me:
"This cancer has been good for us, Mom. It's taught us a lot."
I could not believe he said it, but he was absolutely right.
During the month of January, a portion of the proceeds from shopping INDY Gear and Apparel will go directly to Cade and his family. Shop now and be sure to mention his name in the comments section at checkout.
